  • ENGLISH FOUNDATIONS
    • The Language School has created a new and innovative approach to teaching English called the “Let’s Start Talking” approach, which is based in conversational methodologies.  This is a phased approach to gradual immersion, specifically for Spanish speaking adults.  What this means is that the first Foundations Level, in a series of 4, is taught in approximately 75% Spanish to explain new vocabulary, rules, and fundamental differences between Spanish and English.  Teachers are expected to teach classes using Spanish, but conduct conversational activities in English.  The 2nd level reduces the use of Spanish to 50%, the 3rd level to 25% Spanish, with ultimately the 4th level being conducted 100% in English.

    • Each level takes approximately 1 month to complete, so with this unique methodology students can become conversational in English in the majority of their daily interactions with English speakers within only 4 months.

    • Our English Foundations Levels are for true beginners from Spanish speaking countries that have never studied English and help you learn how to speak English quickly.  Key conversational English skills focus on daily situations like shopping, eating at restaurants, and introducing yourself to English speakers in order to make new friends.  After the first 3 months, you will be prepared for life in any city in the United States and get around town in English!
